I’m Siobhan Starrs a TV journalist and occasional freelance travel writer. I am also Mum to nine year Kitty (not her real name) and partner to her Dad, Matthew. A native of Northern Ireland, I have lived in England for over twenty years now. Four years ago we moved from London to Luton. I love arts and culture, so the blog will feature a few reviews of things I have seen, generally shows that are touring. Luton is transforming into a creative hub, which is amazing, as I find London shows so expensive. We generally holiday around the UK mostly Scotland, Northumberland, Cornwall, and of course my beloved County Down. I want to share my musings, photos and tips about our days out and longer trips around Luton, London and elsewhere in the UK and offer inspiration for your next staycation. #staycationinspiration
The photos featured on the site are mostly taken by myself or my talented partner Matthew Kirkland. Matt’s photo gallery can be found on Flickr. Photos supplied by PR’s etc will be clearly credited, other photos may be borrowed from Flickr under creative commons usage, these will also be credited.

MY WRITING :
I am also a freelance feature and travel writer. If you are interested in commissioning me for a newspaper or magazine article or sponsored post, please get in touch.
I have written the following travel stories for The Associated Press :
I intend to be completely open and transparent in this blog. The blog will only feature days out that the writer has actually participated in, with the exception of the ‘Things to do’ future planners, that’s things I want to do. From time to time guest bloggers will be featured. If a post is the result of a ‘freebie’ or ‘sponsored’ in anyway, that will be indicated in the post. I will only give my honest opinion about an activity we do or any hospitality that we receive.
The blog is still taking shape and I am really keen on feedback.
